I'd agree that the current rendering is unacceptable if not for the fact that this is a community center and low-income rentals. It's not high-end by any means.
It's when developers propose "luxury" condos/apartments and then skimp on the design/materials that drives me insane. This is the opposite and I'm okay with it.
