Vienna is a spectacular-looking city to this post-modern-dwelling city guy. I've never lived in an area that wasn't mostly built within the last 100 years, so to me, it almost looks exotic. A perfectly-kept, old city. Which is funny, because I worked with a couple from Austria way back when in Vancouver, and they thought Vancouver was the most spectacular-looking modern place they'd ever been. They were mesmerized by the glass towers everywhere. I found that reaction was very common among western Europeans in North America. I was always puzzled by that, but then, it's the same as me drooling over what I was never able to experience on a daily basis.
