great tour and one of the best threads ever, makes me homesick. and the tracks in Birmingham in your shot is near where Randy Sanford died.
a few things:
1. the state of Alabama is actually an asteroid field between the Crimson Tide and Auburn stadiums
2. is that Sloss Furnace in Birmingham? if so it's a museum and not abandoned, although it's so hands off of a museum you get that vibe
