...Grey and beige are the dullest and most boring colors and color combinations especially when no other embellishments are involved. They seem to be trying to go for "corporate" but the dull and boring side of corporate. Hopefully it doesn't look too bad in the end.

Agreed. Some colors OTHER than those would be good. While I like current design better than the previous, this is by no means how I'd design it. My schemes are usually a bit more grandiose than those that usually get built 'round here... I don't know what the foundation is like, but you can sure bet I would have started with more than just 4 more floors.
