Hola Panamenos!

Aqui les tengo un articulo publicado en la revista de arquitectura americana Newcityskyline el dia de ayer acerca de este proyecto.

Aqui esta el link con el mismo rendering que hay en este thread: http://www.newcityskyline.com/WorldGallery.html

Uniquely designed “World Gallery” planned for Panama City

Wednesday, May 02, 2007

Panama City, Panama (NCS) - Three 50-storey high rises to be collectively called The World Gallery are planned for Panama City, and each building, New York, London and Tokyo—is placed correlative to its geography, as each city would appear on a map.

The three residential towers are elliptical shapes designed by Panamanian architect Musa Asvat, and will house a total of 528 apartments between them and be linked by a series of skybridges.

The towers are intended to symbolize international living within one scheme. Although it is unclear whether or not the Tokyo tower will feature sushi restaurants and the London tower will feature olde English pubs, it is ironic—or perhaps perfectly calculated—that the size of the apartments in the Tokyo building are smaller than those in the London and New York buildings, representing the greater population density in Tokyo that demands more but smaller living spaces.

Developed by Homes Real Estate, the project will also include Panama's first international convention centre offering 10,000 square metres of space with a main hall and a 22 floor tall hotel tower above it.

Construction is expected to start in December 2007 and be completed by the end of 2009.
