I've noticed that and I like it. Manitoba has no real consistent colour scheme... for a long time I think the colour were usually some variation on gold/brown, but then in the 80s green came into the mix, sometimes you see the red of the provincial flag, it's just kind of a mish mash.
I like how Quebec = blue, Sask = green, that sort of thing.
