Another new golf resort, Timberland, will be built in Western Newfoundland, located at Pasadena, near Corner Brook.

With newspaper advertisements running regularly for general labourers, excavator operators, a project manager and an office manager, the developer of Timberland Golf Resort hopes to break ground on the project later this month.

Timberland, which is being developed by Brian Pike just east of Pasadena along the Trans-Canada Highway, will eventually feature 337 luxury executive homes and an 18-hole golf course over 700 acres of prime Humber Valley property.

If all goes well, the first golfer should be teeing up on the back nine by mid-summer 2009.

Timberland’s primary market is Europe and an office has been opened in the United Kingdom.
