I remember getting into a long argument on another forum a year or 2 back about an article I posted that claimed Beale Street was the state of Tennessee's #1 tourist attraction. The only thing brought up that could possibly topple that was Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park. Don't kid yourself folks, year over year, almost nothing beats Beale Street. More development is coming and it will only get bigger. Every city across the country wants or has tried to build a Beale or Bourbon, but the history, grit & mystique is required to back it up. Not going to happen.
