Although I am starting to veer into Bay Area transportation topic territory, just as a follow up:
In an attempt to electrify Caltrain near its original time frame, the JPB has decided to split the project into smaller pieces. Thus they can start with secured financing while working to finalize the remainder. The first package out to bid later this month incorporates necessary foundation work and represents approximately 10% of the total project.
