That is amazing stuff.

I'm curious, since China's HSR, like Europe's, is in the same gauge as the main railroad network, whether there's a lot of interchange between the two (especially in urban areas) or if Chinese HSR is by and large, like in Europe, on separate gradients and ROWs?

Another question: considering how shallow the Yellow Sea is, is there a long-range plan to connect Tianjin and Seoul via a Yellow Sea tunnel? Or are they so dead-set on a line to Taipei that they're not going to invest in other foreign investment?

The U.S. definitely needs to step up its HSR game, too.
