It looks like New Brunswick has the most expensive cannabis thus far. Obviously it changes a lot between products and between provinces, and it's likely most of us have some specific thing that's priced higher than in other provinces - but thus far, on average:

Quote:
Cannabis products offered for sale this week vary among provinces, making comprehensive pricing comparisons difficult. But on popular items for sale across the country it was hard to find any province charging more than New Brunswick.

One item for sale on Wednesday almost everywhere was a whole cannabis flower called "Lemon Skunk" by the global company DNA Genetics.

In New Brunswick, it was selling for $15.50 for a single gram including taxes, the most expensive price listed across Canada.

In Prince Edward Island, the same product was retailing for $14.50, in Newfoundland and Labrador it was $14 and in Nova Scotia it was $13.43.

Prices were lower still west of the region including in Ontario ($13.25), Manitoba ($12.60) and British Columbia ($11.22).

In Saint John [New Brunswick], Shawna Cormier bought a pre-rolled joint from Edison called "City Lights," which Cannabis NB prices at $7.50.

"It's a little more expensive, but we're celebrating," said Cormier.

But the exact same purchase is $1 less in both P.E.I. and Nova Scotia, a difference common across a number of products.

For example, on Wednesday Cannabis NB was selling the bud "Kinky Kush" by the Ontario grower CannTrust for $8.99 per gram, 13 per cent more than Ontario was charging.

And while a 15-gram bottle of indica buds from the company Plain Packaging cost $119.99 in New Brunswick, it was $11 cheaper in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as Nova Scotia and $25.19 less in Quebec.

But some good news for the island:

On day one of legalization, the cheapest bud is being sold in Newfoundland and Labrador

Quote:
The most expensive legal gram of cannabis was in the Northwest Territories, at $17.50. The territory sells weed through its liquor stores, which currently only offer five brands to choose from.

The cheapest weed is being sold in Newfoundland and Labrador: according to product offerings on the provincial online cannabis store, a gram of dried flower sold by Eve & Co., which goes by the brand name The Advocate, can be bought at between $5.87 and $6.89 per gram. This specific strain contains between 15 to 23 per cent of THC, and 0 to 1 per cent of CBD.

In the most populous provinces, a gram of pot was priced around the $7 to $13 range. For instance, the cheapest option for those buying from the Ontario Cannabis Store is a gram of “Strawberry Ice,” produced by Northern Harvest which sells for $7.50. The most expensive is “Lemon Skunk” produced by seed-specialist DNA Genetics and priced at $13.25 per gram. Both brands have a THC content of slightly over 20 per cent.

The Quebec government has said that cannabis in their provincially run stores will be priced as low at $5.25 per gram, but on day one of legalization, the cheapest pot available in the SQDC seems to be Aphria’s adult-use brand Solei, which is priced at $8.50 per gram, and is of the Indica strain, which skews heavier in CBD content. The most expensive gram of legal weed in Quebec for now is Aurora’s “Banana Split,” priced at $11.30.

In British Columbia — where many unlicensed dispensaries have asserted that they have no intention of shutting down under the new legal regime — weed is priced between $6.99 and $13.99 per gram, excluding tax. The cheapest offering is an indica-dominant hybrid strain called “Shishkaberry” produced by Seven Oaks, an Indigenous-run brand based in Winnipeg.
