This one was shown in the Your favorite local rehabilitation projects... thread. An old power plant in Halifax, which was used for many years as the Electropolis film studios, was converted into the NS Power headquarters. In order to complete the restoration and re-clad, large sections of concrete had to be cut out to permit windows in the former bunker-like building.

More rehabilitation projects just down the road: the long building in the centre is a former warehouse that has been repurposed as, in order from near to far, the new Farmer's Market; a new art college campus; a new immigration museum.
