Vacant Grand Rapids church to be converted into apartments

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Construction is expected to start this spring on a vacant church on Grand Rapids’ West Side that’s being renovated into a 13-unit apartment building with first-floor office space.
The building, 739 4th St. NW, will include 10 one-bedroom units and three two-bedroom units. Monthly rent will total $1,550 for the two-bedroom units and $1,350 for the one-bedroom units.
The $2.3 million project is being led by Grand Rapids-based Metric Structures and O’Connor Development.
