by building way out in the burbs, the braves really are bucking the trend of the last quarter century in a big way. since the new era of stadium construction that began in 1991 with new comiskey park in chicago, all but one of the new MLB stadiums have been built in downtown/downtown-adjacent locations or at least in core city locations within several miles of downtown.
