The conceptual renders were far more futuristic than this, and far more iconic. This is a rather retro design and is too similar to other NY towers. The architect seems to be trying to be contextual by trying to fit in with the Chrysler, etc. I'd prefer a statement that looks toward the future not the past. The slanted tower was far more impressive.
