I'm sure a lot of people actually like Place de Ville as part of the skyline. If you look at advertisement and logos, the community seems to embrace Place de Ville now more than ever.

We're starting to see PdV on more and more logos and advertisement depicting the skyline. Before, it was just the historic front that was depicted.

As should the historic landmarks in Ottawa. Just don't force private companies to shut off their lights. No other (or very few) city has any such overbearing laws.
