from CYQM website:

August was the largest month in passenger traffic growth at the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport
SEPTEMBER 21, 2018

Greater Moncton, N.B. – Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM) saw its best month ever in August 2018 and if this trend continues 2018 should be our best year ever. YQM saw an 8.3% passenger traffic increase this past August, continuing a positive overall trend for New Brunswick’s largest airport. We also saw a significant increase in international cargo activity with over 400 tonnes of product shipped on Kalitta Air flights in August and September.

So far, year to date, the airport has welcomed 475,785 passengers, more than any other airport in New Brunswick achieved in all of 2017. We’re proud to offer 20 daily (Monday-Friday) departures to major Canadian centres such as Toronto, Montreal, Halifax and Ottawa through our partner airline carriers which include Air Canada, WestJet and Porter Airlines.

“We are very proud to share this great news with the community as we are dedicated to continue working hard at retaining as many flight options and always aim at getting added frequency on existing routes as well as pursuing other route opportunities.” said Bernard LeBlanc, the airport’s President and CEO. “We are extremely grateful for the continued support of our travelers, airlines, and our partners in the business community, together we have made it possible for us to continue increasing our air service.”

So, YTD, CYQM reports 475,785 PAX. If you extrapolate this through to year end (always a risky proposition), this suggests the airport may see 714,000 passengers in 2018. This would be up from 665,630 PAX last year.

We have numbers from all three main NB airports for August:

Moncton - 71,473 (August)
Fredericton - 43,000 (August)
Saint John - 31,856 (August)

The figures reported for SJ and Freddy are marginally different than those previously reported here, but come from a T&T article today.
