I never understood why government buildings happen to be the only ones where people forget to turn off the lights on their way out.
NO government tower should be 100% lit up at midnight on a Tuesday. I'm looking at L'Esplinade Laurier as the main offender. The lights have been completely turned on there since 2004, never to be turned off.
Not only is it a colossal waste of money (leave it to the government to turn a blind eye to easily saving money) but it's bad for the environment.
Turn them all off I say.
(motion sensors work wonders. The private sector learned this like 20 years ago.)
