yeah, in london they use to build the cores like that, i remember back in 2002, i was living there, and in the city, they were building some buildings with this technique, very high cores, i remember seeing a couple of cores, i didn't know what where those for in that time, coming out of the canary wharf tube station, they were cores like 10 or 11 floors high and i was, wtf are those things like chimneys for??
some years later then realized.
