An engineering study commissioned by the city will show exactly what's inside the Civic Auditorium, which city leaders say is essential on a project in the heart of downtown Omaha.
It will also help demolition companies accurately price the project.
"Making sure that we don't do anything to damage any of the other infrastructure downtown is a big priority," Brook said.
The Civic sits on a 10-acre plot at the corner of 17th Street and Capitol Avenue.
The study, which the city expects completed in the next 30 to 45 days, will pinpoint exactly where huge utility lines run under the streets surrounding the Civic.
