Not a fan of Parliament/Parlement either, or of unwieldy bilingual names of that sort. (Perhaps the feds, who ponied up a lot of money for this line, put backroom pressure on OC Transpo for this name?)
They could have named it O'Connor and placed a symbol representing the parliament buildings next to the name. This would have been intuitive enough.
I think this is what they will do for Tremblay Station which serves Ottawa's VIA Rail station - there will be a VIA logo next to the name Tremblay.
BTW, Tremblay Station replaced an old BRT station that was called Train. A BRT station called "Train" was confusing for some people. But I suppose they all ended up where they needed to go eventually.
