Buffalo = Western NY.
It was more or less to gauge outside opinions.
Upstate NY teams are first and foremost NY teams is the point.
Buffalo represents Western NY, not Upstate, and the only Boston team in all of Upstate NY with a decent number of fans are Red Sox fans but thats it.
Or take a city like Albany for example. You think Albany's NHL team is the Buffalo Sabres when the Rangers are 2 hours closer?
Same goes for Utica. People in both cities got uber pissed that now since the Sabres are on MSG they get priority over the Rangers in home and home conflict. Theres even a petition.
