Perhaps we have a minor generation gap thing going on here lol. I am 43 and consider myself a youngster. But you, at 16,,, your just a kid. Even 1 year can seem like a long time to you lol. A year to me would be like a couple of your months. I remember watching the "new ones" go up in the 70s and 80s. We are barely into the 21st Century. The 20th century was just yesterday for goodness sakes. Mid Century Modern is only now starting to be considered "kinda oldish" and beginning to be more appreciated. Though too much of it is still being torn down imo.
