Apartments in works for Main St. building along streetcar line

An owner plans to convert the old Hartford Insurance Company building at 630 Main St. into a garage and build four to five stories of apartments on top of it, according to documents filed with the Cincinnati Historic Conservation Board.


The board is expected to conduct a preliminary design review of the plan at 3 p.m. today.

The applicant wants to convert the basement and first three floors to 130 spaces of parking and then build 64 units and 3,685 square feet of retail space.
