Downtown Adj. - Central Ninth District - Construction Begins On Ruby Townhomes

Isaac Riddle Reports - Full Article @ http://www.buildingsaltlake.com/cons...nhome-project/

With a housing crisis underway, Salt Lake City is in need of more for-sale housing stock. The city’s growing number of missing middle housing means more formerly single-family parcels are being converted to higher-density housing.

Preliminary construction has started on The Ruby, a 12-unit townhome project on the 800 South block of West Temple in the Central Ninth Neighborhood. The project consists of four, three-story buildings and replaces three formerly single-family lots on 0.4 acres... each home will be approximately 2000 square-feet and will have three bedrooms, three and one-half bathrooms. The townhomes will front West Temple while the garages will be accessed via a driveway behind the homes. The home’s main entrances and ground floor flexible live/work space will front West Temple with second-floor large sliding doors that will open to balconies fronting the street. The project will also include a landscaped walkway connecting West Temple to the rear alleyway.

...The Ruby is one of four for-sale residential projects in development in Central Ninth...
