if this is the NE corner, then i swear... that resturant location must be cursed. when i was living in town, i must have seen at least four resturant move through there in four years. i hope this one fares a little better.
as for the rest of the stuff along pelissier, are they new store fronts or just replacing old buisness that have moved out?
i hope that pelissier does well. despite its kind of run-down and neglected appearance, it was amazing just how much i actually depended on that street. my dry cleaner, bike store, news agent, pizza joint and absolute favourite bar were all within two blocks of each other. it was a real resource to the people who live near by.
although, i could have lived without all of the drunk teenagers and 'massage parlours'...
