I would say Kamloops could easily double in size before needing to change its growth patterns to allow further expansion.
That said it would be a very linear city, stretching north and east along the South and North Thompson Rivers.
Also to the south is the rolling Nicola Valley (but that area becoming suburban sprawl is one of my worst nightmares given how beautiful it is).
