MONTREAL | Tour des Canadiens | 165 M / 541 FT | 50 FLOORS | U/C

Cadillac Fairview is working on a new project, similar to Air Canada Center area in Toronto. Construction is scheduled to start in 2012.

A 27-storey office tower on St. Antoine with 500,000 square feet of rental space. To make way for it, a seven-storey 1950s building would be demolished on St. Antoine. Known as the Canadian Pacific accounting building, it is adjacent to Windsor Station. Unlike Windsor Station, it is not a designated heritage building. Cadillac Fairview has begun pre-leasing for the new glass tower and it could be occupied as early as mid-2014, Iacono said.

A condo complex with a total of about 710 units, spread over three towers. Two would be about 44 storeys each, at Mountain St. and Montreal Canadiens Ave., currently the site of Centennial Plaza. Commemorating the Canadiens’ 100th anniversary, the plaza, owned by Cadillac Fairview, features bronze statues of four Habs greats and personalized bricks purchased by fans.

The third would be about 25 storeys high but that includes the already-constructed 10-floor office building on which the condo structure would be erected.
