I seem to recall posting an article where Canada was going to put in a CG bid a few years ago. It would have been the perfect opportunity for Calgary to get a new stadium. I s'pose spending the money on a CG is a long way to go to get a new stadium but other infrastructure could have benefited for a potential Winter Olympic bid down the road.
