The cultural center was how the project was able to be part of a redevelopment wasn't it?

Sometimes when we are most frustrated with NIMBYS in SF remember that there would be other monstrosities all the way to North Beach if is wasn't for community activism. It is all about a balance of capitalism with the public's interests (which none of use can of course agree on)
