Or you could build a nice spacious bus terminal on NJ side and build an express train ride into midtown from it for far less money. Manhattan simply doesn't have enough space to build a proper bus terminal for the volume of busses coming in, the moment a new one will be constructed it would be at full capacity right away.
Ditto for a convention center. Javitz is a disgrace.
