Southern end of downtown Halifax circa 1930. Still mostly a Victorian scale since there wasn't much construction from 1900-1930.
This shows how much stuff was torn down along the southern end of the downtown part of Hollis Street. Also, there was a large building inside the Citadel that was torn down. I have never been able to find a decent picture of it. I'd guess it was a Victorian-era addition. The larger building that survives was completed by 1832.
