The more I look at the renderings, the more I think the condo tower is over scaled. The Hotel should be the focal point of the complex.
I would keep the podium as planned, maybe build an extra 5-6 storeys of condos on top and a slim 12 storey (12+4(podium) for a total of 16 or 160 feet) condo tower closer to Cumberland. We should step down from Rideau and East Market towards the Market area while keeping the 11+3 (14 or 186 feet) storey focal point, modern hotel as the tallest in the Byward market.
