With the announcement by Amazon that they will be building a second headquarters, equal in size to their Seattle headquarters, in another city, there has been and will be a lot of postings about why 'my city' should get the prize. Well, I will go ahead and make a case for a location in Nashville that would suit such a large project fairly easily.



A Chicago based developer has acquired a large collection of properties less than a mile from downtown. The initial concept renderings above indicate that a large high rise development is very doable. The slightly remote location is not as disadvantages as it may seem on the surface as many means of access are already in the works or could easily be added, including a pedestrian bridge across the river to the Germantown neighborhood. As shown in this map.....



That would only check one box, however. Yes, we're still a long shot. I know.
