I do agree the ultimate alignment should move back to the 1996 plan (the Connaught tunnel). That should be deferred to the same time as the Western LRT extension and built as that with a 2023 target opening (as part of a second branch to Bayshore) in order to avoid a quick transition, with interim improvements for now.
