Thing is that was suppose to save money. But they kept giving birth to more regular police at the same time. So in reality the cadets were just an added expense.
Police need to stop spending on themselves. Union or not we the city pay for those fancy salaries. The union can pound it's little hands all they want. If their is no money then they Union and police will have to find ways to save. If they chose to slash people's careers so they can keep their over paid salaries. Then that's on them. Not the city.

There was a city in the USA. Forget which. It was on Forbes once and they had a police force spending out of control. It almost bankrupted the city. They as in the city cut off the feeding tube of money. The police restructured and now it's a lean police force that actually does more with less then the bloated one that was in place before.
