there used to be tons back in the 70's and 80's and into the 90's and they were all spread out

graceland was a gay bar, luv affair was a gay bar, that bar in yaletown was gay, shaggy horse on richards near robson, etc etc

i read a cool old article on facebook about the scene back in its heyday - there were places along burrard, robson, granville etc.
