Oh and Tony, the 406 is currently under construction to expand to 4 lanes as far as Port Robinson Road. This isn't quite all the way into Welland, but its getting there. The stepping stone is the cost to twin the bridges over the old Canal and the Welland River. $$$$$$$$

But I think if the Seaway Mall can manage to fill the big store empty spaces, then it should do ok.

Zellers is moving to Wal-Mart's space and Winner is apparantly going into Zellers. But I can't see Winners filling that all itself, so if they can get another good store in there (for example, a Sport Chek would stop the need to go the the Pen Centre for sporting stuff), the mall could come back.

Its not a lost cause....yet.
