krispy kreme is still here in delta - i go there often when i am passing by, its quite busy - just a couple weeks ago they were selling boxes of the donuts on cambie street outside the canadian tire, for fundraising - they do a lot of that stuff in the lower mainland

unfortunately the media reported all the canadian outlets shut down - in reality the ontario outlets shut down, the BC operations are owned by the same company that owns wa state and alaska

i've heard they have started to reopen in ontario with another franchise operator

the company itself went through that really bad press just as they were starting a rapid expansion and all those plans fell through and we never got the other outlets here because of the parent company lying about profits or something - there was some scandal
