Naw, there's a lot of activity on the Davie Strip. More variety, some unknown yet, but work underway. With the massive build-up of new condos and rental towers in the area, the retail and restaurant scene on Davie will inevitably shift. For the better one hopes.

Opening Soon in the space of two blocks (Burrard - Bute): Hamburger Mary's redux, Mumbai Local Indian street food in the former Daily Catch, Dosa & Curry in the former Judges Indian, The Italians (open now) in Jim Deva Plaza, and the aforementioned Juke Chicken.

Kadoya Sushi has upped their facade game with new bold signage, awning etc.

Also, the space formerly occupied by GiGi's pizza/Priscillas has been gutted, rebuild, and preparing for something new, but yet unannounced.

There is also new retail, but since this is the food thread, I'll resist posting.

I've lived in this 'hood for 30 some years, and this is the most activity I've ever seen.

With the 3 year trial of street patios (in front of Stephos, Los Amigos, and separately, Pumpjack Pub), this street has serious hope of becoming interesting.
