Best Places to Start a Business:
Winston-Salem is ranked among the best cities in the nation to start a business, according to WalletHub. This is credited to Winston-Salem's affordability and growing innovation economy (Downtown's IQ District). Raleigh is 12th and Winston-Salem is 17th on the list, which looked at the top 150 cities in the nation. Winston-Salem is the highest ranking city in the Triad area on the list. The study said Winston-Salem is 3rd in the nation on the list of cities with the highest growth in the number of small businesses. Wow!

Fiddlin' Fish Brewing Company:
"Framing is complete for all of our interior and exterior walls. The plumbers and electricians have been hard at work roughing in all of our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing lines. In the taproom, our bar has been framed out and awaits its reclaimed wood bar top."

"Next on the schedule are drywall and exterior windows and doors. The exterior will have six glass garage doors, giving the space an open, airy feeling. The place is really starting to take shape. Stay tuned for updates as we push hard to open our doors to the public!"

Off-Subject:

This is an awesome "free" event, held every year in the Spring, with local dancers and dancers from Mexico City to Toronto and NYC to Los Angeles, performing around downtown Winston-Salem. They also have events on rooftops each year. I think this year they will perform on the roof of the Wherehouse Art Hotel. I had to tell you about it!
