For those that haven't been there.. the brand-new sidewalks, park-like areas and solid, classy lamp posts fully guide one around. Easy to get oriented, and fabulous to visit an area that's been closed off for a century.

As others mention, due to the massive construction everywhere, it's not really ready for a prime time show to visitors... but if you're a local, and want to see a long hidden part of town... I highly recommend dropping by
Did an awesome tour. Started at Fleet Pump Station, walked to Zibi (as per zzptichka's arrows, then realized you can head due south from the lookout, one-island to the south, through the new zibi condo area (the last east-west 'road' before the war museum bridge, which is not yet open). Then headed east along victoria island, past Vertical Reality, to the 'Aboriginal Experience' village, then the Navy Monument, across the super-secret pedestrian path over the last of the kayak slalom, then through the tunnels under Wellington (and the awesome public art)! Awesome loop, very quiet, so history.
