GAINES TOWNSHIP — A proposed “massive” distribution and warehouse facility in southern Kent County has moved one step closer to a groundbreaking. The Gaines Charter Township Planning Commission on Thursday recommended the overall development plans of “Project Rapids” move ahead to the township board.
