As to that second photo, man I'd love to see something get built on those surface parking lots along the east side of Sherbrook near McDermot (behind the Tim Hortons billboard). At least the Manitoba Clinic will define the street wall nicely on the west side.

1. Manitoba Clinic is actually not part of HSC, that campus actually has at least six players: HSC, Children's Hospital, CancerCare, Manitoba Clinic, U of M and CanadInns.
2. The surface lots you speak of are for the most part very new. Until the school was demolished they were actually the playground/yard for the school. Someone would need to dig into the history of it but I think it was being used by DSFM who have a relatively new looking school about one block north.
