Yes, a beautiful building. I almost recall seeing this building or some highrise of this stature being demolished to make way for, what was then called "Fidelity Mutual Life Building" sold to Girard Bank I believe then became Meridan. In the early 70's, in the Bulletin Newspaper at that time , had a cover photo, and a full story about the (Meridan) having a twin! It looked like it would complete that southern side, that was very concrete and boring. The proposed "twin" showed the mirror image that was on the North to be built on the South angle with the"windows" side. It also showed a "heliport", but this, of course, never happened.
Another image that I found online was a proposed highrise where the W is being built now, AND the Meridan site, that would have been taller than City Hall. Not the 1000 footer, which came in the mid 2000's but one from the lates 60's I believe. Pictured below:

Also, If you check each one of those jpg photos at that website, it will show Broad St. literally being a prairie!
