^^ & ^ The intent is to use it as an event space and have seasonal programming. I'm fine with the amount of pavement, but not a big fan of the paver colors/pattern either. It's too much, IMO. I'm okay with the asymmetry too. Citygarden a block west isn't symmetric, and there's an inherent asymmetry in the mall due to the Gateway One office building. There are lots of benches and interactive features in addition to the event space. Once the trees fill in I think it will be a well-used and attractive space, especially if we can ever replace those horrible garages with residential.
