That said, assuming this is legit, could this be big enough to be the long-awaited convention hotel? I assume it would be big enough to have the hundreds of rooms in one place everyone says Memphis needs in one facility, and it's close enough to Cook. Thoughts?

Welcome! That's my thoughts exactly with the convention center. I heard it before about 100 Main possibly filling some of that hotel space gap. The Cook is close enough though. Now i'm hoping these developers move fast compared to most of the downtown projects. The fastest thing I seen move in development wise, was the Graceland Hotel, and Entertainment plaza from announcement, to construction, to finish. Straight to the point.
