Well, I like the tower mast. As it has some deep winds in several directions the guides should be necessary. Once I saw at Hamra Fort in UAE a very high Mast with many guides. The engineers know what is need. As in middle that one has many parabolic antennas and the foundation is quite not too deep, these strutures require tied cables avoiding balance and brake down against wind.
Also the base is thin and not wide avoiding collapse sidely, the cables make at a cheap way the fixing on floor.
