I am probably off here and over-estimating our influence, but a few things caught me in the article. The revising of the design and upgrading to a JW Marriott from the previous "cookie cutter" design.
It felt like they got feedback that the old design was bland and did not stand out and was not a good fit for Austin's personality. I wonder sometimes if they lurk on boards such as this for feedback on designs before moving forward. I am very happy with the new design and I think it shows how much difference a few changes can make to a building.
