The All Saints Cathedral itself was built in a somewhat unfortunate location. If it were at the terminus of a street then it might have remained prominent without any restrictions on the neighbouring lot. As it is now there are some unfortunate "tower in park" style setbacks that have failed to accomplish much.
Imagine if instead of this Victoria Park were lined with Trillium-style storefronts and the cathedral were situated at the southern end of the park. It would look far better.

Maybe when the VG no longer needs its parking lot, we can move the cathedral
I do agree it would look better, but I'm not horribly offended by its current location and its new neighbour. Let's just chalk it up to God!
